“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
I am a physician-scientist with ongoing novel research in the area of digital mental health, and health disparities for underserved communities.
As an assistant professor and psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Brigham (MGH) and Harvard Medical School, I specialize in the care of vulnerable patients from underserved communities who have limited access to health care. I explore stigma, access and stigma resistance as it relates to mental healthcare - both in its historical context and in our new digital landscape. It is truly exciting to work on uncovering new models for understanding how our health systems might more successfully engage with patients from underserved communities to reduce health inequities.
